Fruit is nature’s candy. Every time you eat a fruit it is an opportunity to nourish your body and health. To bring awareness of the importance and consumption of fruits in our regular diet the twinkling stars of kindergarten celebrated FRUITS DAY on 23rd August 2023. The occasion was to teach children about the health benefits of fruit nature’s most fantastic food.

Preschoolers of UKG represented the fruits of their choice through their colourful dress.

The short programme started with a prayer conducted by Reuben followed by a glorified prayer song sung by UKG A students.

Rhythmic action song seized the attention of toddlers. Some thoughts of little youngsters were also shared among each other.

Fascinating activities were conducted in the classroom. Tiny tots learnt about the taste, smell, colour, and texture of each fruit. Children were sensitized towards the importance of washing fruits before eating. Watching the students carrying fruits for salad making activity was a pleasant sight. Teachers demonstrated the process of peeling, cutting and mixing the different fruits and the yummy fruit salad was ready to relish. Children also coloured and drew the pictures of their favourite fruit as a part of classroom activity.

In a nutshell tiny toddlers were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that fruits are better than junk food.

This occasion aimed at embracing a twin idea of healthy fruit eating habits and hygiene.
