“Work to become, not to acquire”

With a plethora of career options available in the contemporary times, the role of a career counselling session become indispensable'. Keeping this view in mind, Sr. Maria Gracilda A C the Principal of Carmel school, organized career guidance and counselling for the parents and students of grade IX and X on the 12th August in the school Auditorium.

The session started with a short prayer. The resource person was Dr. Ananth Prabhu G ,Professor, Department of computer science and engineering at Sahyadri the group of Educational institutions. Being a motivational speaker, Dr Prabhu G gave the students a brief talk on a new generation careers and opportunities they can seek for after grade X. He also spoke about the various competitive exams and scholarship exams available in the present scenario. He guided the students on various courses in different streams, like Engineering, MBA, Law and so on. He also encouraged the students to pursue their interests and urged them to work sincerely to achieve their goals. He emphasized about SWOT(Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity, & Threats) NIRF(National institution Ranking framework),NIOS(National institute of open schooling).Queries raised by the students and parents were answered by him. Overall the session was inspiring and envisioned the knowledge of the students.

The parents and students of grade IX and X found the session very effective and enlightening. The programme was compered by Avren Dsouza. Deepthi R Pethaje welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was rendered by Uvel Fernandes.
