In recognition of the Sesquicentennial Jubilee of the Establishment of The Apostolic Carmel Congregation in India, Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri organised a session on the life of Venerable Mother Veronica, Founder of the Apostolic Carmel on 4th December 2020 to the faculty of sister concern institutions on the campus, namely Holy Rosary High School, Holy Rosary PU College and Carmel School CBSE.

The programme began with a prayer service by invoking God’s blessings. Sr. Leonilla AC, Headmistress, Holy Rosary High School welcomed the Resource Person Sr. Sylvette AC - Professor Geography, St. Agnes College, Mangaluru and also the others. Sr. Sylvette AC addressed the gathering by reminiscing the life of Mother Veronica – a beacon of light. She spoke on Mother Veronica’s exemplary life, especially her obedience to God’s will which was remarkable in all the situations of her life. She highlighted Mother Veronica’s virtues, her saintly life, faith, courage and love for God. It was an interactive session with practical examples of the values to be cherished and imbibed. She concluded saying, “When we make the right choices we become beacons of light to others. Here we say Mother Veronica the Founder of the Apostolic Carmel, becomes a beacon of light to us because of the right choices that she made in her life”.

Sr. Meena Fernades AC compered the programme and Mrs. Clara proposed the vote of thanks.
