To showcase the talents of every child Carmel School Moodbidri hosted the Annual Day for 2 days on the16th and 17th of December, 2022.

The Annual Day of Carmel School Moodbidri was celebrated with great zest and vibrancy on Friday, 16th December 2022 by the tiny tots of playschool and classes LKG, I, III, V, VII and VIII in the School Auditorium with a medley of events from each class.The President of the day, Sister Priya Maria A.C., Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Onil Dsouza - Parish Priest Corpus Christi Church Moodbidri, Guest of Honour Mr. Ganesh Y- Block Educational Officer, Moodbidri and other dignitaries were welcomed by the symphonic rhythm of the School Band. The other dignitaries who graced this occasion were Sr. Jyothi the Principal, Sr. Elena the Administrator, Sr. Leonilla Headmistress Holy Rosary High School, Mr. Jossy Menezes Vice President of PTA and PTA members. Sr. Jyothi introduced the guests and extended a warm welcome to the guests and all the dignitaries present. Mrs. Lavita DSouza proposed the vote of thanks. The opening chorus set the tone for the programme.The programme commenced with a scintillating prayer song. The guests and parents were warmly embraced with a musical welcome dance with a radiance of its own. The tiny tots of Kindergarten and LKG enthralled the audience with their foot tapping dances and action songs. Students of class IA depicted the value of parents through a dance and 1B showcased a entertainment dance on beautiful life. Class IIIA students displayed a dance with the theme trees help in conserving our environment. Class IIIB performed patriotic dance paying tribute to Mother India. Kolata is the traditional folk dance performed by the students of class VB with coloured sticks and class VA exhibited dances on festivals of India. Students enthused the audience with their Karakattam dance by balancing a pot on their head. The theme ‘Empowerment of women’ was effectively brought out by the students of class VII A and B. Grade VIII A and B illuminated the values of Venerable Mother Veronica, foundress of the Apostolic Carmel, highlighting peace and harmony through their scintillating performance. Students of class VIII presented a Mime Show creating an awareness on the misuse of mobile phones. The annual report acknowledged the scholastic and co- scholastic activities that the institution has provided to its students with the Motto “From Darkness to Light”. This was presented by Sr. Premal A.C. and Mr. Prajwal Pereira.

On this occasion our students were awarded 1st and 2nd place in academics from classes LKG, I, III, V, VII and VIII. Toppers in Diocesan Examination Mangaluru in Catechism and Value Education exams of class VII and students who brought laurels to our school in various athletic events were honoured for their outstanding performances.

The Chief Guest Fr. Onil Dsouza in his address congratulated the students for their achievements, good schooling and their value based education. He was impressed by the impeccable performance showcased by the students across different grades and appreciated the choice of themes performed by the students. He urged the students to excel in their studies and other activities and wished the Institution best in their endeavours.

The programme was compered by Aaron Dsouza and Dafny Dcunha of class X. With this the celebration came to an end. It was indeed a joyous moment for the guests, parents, students and the teachers to watch and be a part of this gala day.
