Carmel School Moodbidri celebrated 67th Kannada Rajyotsava with due respect and fervour by the students of classes 7A and 7B in the school auditorium on the bright and sunny morning of November 1, 2022. Kannada Rajyotsava has been celebrated every year on November 1 since 1956.

The programme commenced invoking God’s blessings with a prayer service led by the students. Students of class 7A and 7B welcomed the gathering with a beautiful welcome dance. Pradyumna of class 7A welcomed the gathering with his welcome speech. The significance of the day was given by Ashrith of class 7B. Students showcased their talents and exhibited their love for their beloved state, Karnataka by enthusiastically participating in a gala celebration. Melodious songs were sung like “Vishwa Vinuthana”, “Karunada Thai”, “Niyotsava” wherein students uplifted everyone’s mood. The students were able to spread the fragrance of Kannada language with their spectacular dance performance which left the audience spellbound.

The Chief Guest Mrs. Pramila in her address asked the students to remember the golden heritage of our state and feel proud to be a part of Karnataka. In her talk she mentioned we must speak Kannada as it is our state language.

The whole programme was conducted in Kannada which created an ambience and devotion dedicated to the land of Karnataka. The event generated a sense of pride in the minds of the audience, for being part of a culture that is so rich and vibrant. The teachers in charge of the programme were Sir Prajwal and Tr. Suchitra. The ceremony ended with the singing of the National Anthem.

The programme was compered by Clarissa and Roshnel of class 7A proposed the vote of thanks.
