The students of Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri celebrated Teachers’ Day expressing their love and gratitude to their teachers on 5th of September, 2022. This wonderful day began with a meaningful Eucharistic Banquet, celebrated by Fr. Rakesh Mathias, the Redemptorist, thanking the Lord for his numerous blessings bestowed on every teacher.

This was followed with a cultural programme at the school auditorium. The celebration was hosted by the students of class VIII, IX and X. The teachers were all dressed to thrill, attired in their colourful and glittering sarees. Students were all ready for a big celebration filled with fun and frolic. The celebration started by lighting of the lamp by the Principal Sr. Jyothi, Vice Principal Sr. Premal and teachers Clara, Yashoda and Veena. Students of class IX and X made a meaningful prayer service invoking God's blessings. Niyathi Kini of class IX and Prem Kumar of class X welcomed the gathering.

The ceremonious occasion was celebrated with various performances by students like dance, fusion dance, skit, spot games and music. And the teachers actively participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Melodious wishing song was sung by the students of class IX and X. The significance of the day was presented by Niyathi Amin elaborating the role of a teacher in a student’s life.

To mark this occasion the school had organised various competitions with the theme Teacher's Day like drawing, making greeting cards, elocution, collage making and an essay on teachers day. Students participated in big number and exhibited their talents. Winners were awarded with certificates. The school felicitated Deepan Bhandary of class VIII who won second place in Cross country race 3kms, under 14 - Junior boys conducted by AICS at Prestige International School, Mangalore.

Sr. Jyothi addressed the gathering expressing her joy on the occasion and appreciated the students for their untiring efforts in organising such a memorable performance for the staff.

Students extended their sincere gratitude to their teachers for being an influential part of their lives. The overall programme was a grand success and will always remain a memory to one and all.

The programme was compered by Dafny Dcunha and Sweeny of class X.
